Laminator Review

I have been working with my child a lot for at home preschool. Since I cannot afford to send her to an actual preschool I have to do it. There have been so many times when I have printed the same page out for her to work on. I have finally buckled down and bought a laminator.

At first I began self-laminating, which took so much time, and often ended up not coming out right.

So I finally buckled down and got a laminator set for about $30. It has really come in handy time and time again. If your trying to do preschool at home, this is a time saver. All those printouts and pages you want to reuse you just laminate and you have something you can use time and time again.

I will admit there are days when it will sit there and not be used. I would say the longest it has sat there without use was around two weeks.

Now I know it may seem pointless to you to buy one or even to expensive to waste the money. But constantly buying or printing a similar page that you need seems more expensive in the long run. You can laminate business pages, photos, that monthly budget spreadsheet, grocery lists, hand writing practice pages for your little one.

Now if you only need it for one page I would say don’t waste your money on it and just do it yourself. But if you’re like me and always seeming to need one and never have it, then I would recommend you purchase this item. It can be valuable asset.

This is the one I bought.

Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901)

I have had for about a year now and so far it still works great. The only problem I have had so far with it, is that I left it on all night, and in the morning it started to make a funny noise. Whoops! It still works fine thankfully. I thought I had broken it. It still is kind of on the loud side, but it’s not that loud.

So in my honest opinion I would say you should definitely buy a laminator. Just keep it out of reach of children. It does heat up, and you don’t want your precious baby to be burned.

These things run from anywhere $18 to $200 so there are plenty to choose from. The one I got for $30 works great.

You can cut up small things and arrange them on the sheets to laminate them (although this has proven a little difficult with trying to keep everything in place). Insurance cards, SSC, birth certificates, papers you need time and time again. Seriously I don’t think you will regret buying this.

So what are you waiting for buy one already. Somethings are a great investment. This is one of them.
